Jeremy Thompson Honored with Quilt of Valor
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. — Jeremy Thompson, Republican candidate for Congress in Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District, was honored over Memorial Day weekend with a Quilt of Valor in recognition of his more than 22 years of service in the United States Army.
The Quilts of Valor Foundation awards handmade quilts to service members and veterans touched by war as an expression of comfort, healing, and gratitude for their service to the nation.
“I am grateful to the volunteers and supporters of Quilts of Valor who spend their time and talent honoring veterans in such a personal way,” Thompson said. “This is more than a quilt. It is a symbol of service, remembrance, comfort, and love of country.”
Thompson said the honor reinforces his commitment to supporting veterans, military families, first responders, and all those who serve their communities and country.
“During more than 22 years serving in the Army, I served alongside men and women who gave everything for this country. I also saw the sacrifices made by military families through deployments, hardships, and uncertain times. This quilt is a reminder of those who served, those who never came home, and the families who continue carrying that legacy.”
The ceremony took place at The Revolutionary Tavern in Fayetteville, a patriotic, American history-themed gathering place owned by Thompson and his wife, Lindsay, that reflects their family’s love of country, community, and the founding ideals that shaped the nation.
Jeremy Thompson also spoke at Memorial Day services in Fayetteville, honoring the fallen heroes who gave their lives in service to the United States.
