MAY 21, 2026 – Congressional candidate Jeremy Thompson will join his fellow Republican candidates for Tennessee’s new 9th Congressional District at the upcoming Marshall County Young Republicans Political Candidate Forum on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Lewisburg Recreation Center in Lewisburg, Tennessee.
The forum, moderated by Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Scott Golden, will give voters across the district an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about the future of the new congressional district and the issues facing Tennessee families and communities.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., and is being hosted by the Marshall County Young Republicans with support from the Marshall County Republican Party.
Jeremy Thompson said he looks forward to discussing the issues that matter most to voters across the new district, including affordability, border security, government accountability, support for veterans and first responders, agriculture, small businesses, and protecting constitutional freedoms.
“The new 9th District is made up of hardworking communities that care deeply about faith, family, service, and opportunity,” Thompson said. “I appreciate the Marshall County Young Republicans for organizing this forum and giving voters the opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about where we stand and what we believe Tennessee needs moving forward.”
Thompson brings more than twenty-two years of military intelligence and special operations support experience to the race, along with a background as a firefighter, EMT, reserve deputy sheriff, and small business owner in Fayetteville.
The candidate forum is expected to draw voters and community leaders from across southern and western Tennessee as interest continues growing around the newly created congressional district.
